Objectives of activities carried out:

Identification of target groups, recruiting schools and teachers

Description of activities carried out:

Selecting addresses of all Hamburg Secondary schools, vocational schools, public schools and colleges.
Writing emails and making phone calls to the directors or heads of departments.
Addressing ministry of education.
ICC provided the schools interested who wanted to applies with the forms developed by PIXEL and translated them into German.

Outcomes:

Only very few schools responded from Hamburg.
As a result of it we selected addresses from adult education centre all over Germany and wrote emails to them and made phone calls to about 727 institutions.
The feedback from adult education centre was more positive and as a result of it we had about 50 people showing interest in the training.

Evaluation of the work undertaken:

It was a lot of extra work because the forms had to be translated from English into German and back into English.
As we had a late start and such a variety of different organisations it was a continuos process of registration.
Some schools refused to fill in the forms although they wanted to take part in the training.
