Description of Dissemination Event:

The European Project LeTS Go, to which our school takes part as a member of the CIPAT consortium , and which aims at enhancing the knowledge and the use of new technologies for the teaching and learning of foreign languages, is getting along with great interest and participation of the teachers involved. As far as the “F. Datini” Institute is concerned the teachers taking part in the project are the following: Mrs. Vera Bencini and Mrs Francesca Naldini, French teachers. Mrs Paola Fiammelli, German teacher. Mrs Katia Pollichieni, Mrs Milena Giordano and Mrs Gianna Prosperi, English teachers. Other language teachers who formerly worked at “Datini” are also involved in the project – Mr Gabriele Monti, Mrs Emanuela Perugi, Miss Carmela Di Palma, Miss Berta Renieri and Mrs Rosaria Giuliano. We are presently working at the core of the project, where the trainees are planning and designing a multimedia learning object to be used when teaching foreign languages. They will then use this product in their own classes, in order to rely on an extra, effective and appealing medium which will certainly meet the students' interests and tastes. The project will be finished by October 2011, but next January the multimedia product, created with great competence by our trainees will be completed and we will be pleased to present it to our colleagues.
